Nothing special, just writing because I miss it. Life gets a little stressful, sometimes, so I don’t always post as often as I intend, but I do try to make at least one post a week, even if it’s on an off day.
No particular topics; sometimes there will be humor, sometimes very serious subjects, and sometimes, just pictures. Eventually, I’d like to be making money worth reporting to the IRS with my camera. I attended an arts school for four years in high school. Considering I keep making new friends because of those four years, it’s easily one of the best experiences of my life.
I graduated from a university known for business, with a music degree, originally intended to be music education. I got an academic scholarship to that school; if I’d had a bit more courage – something I didn’t begin to discover until my mid-thirties – I’d have switched to an economics major. Mind you, the education and music departments were excellent, too. My life was a bit of a mess when I graduated, and I didn’t have the energy to deal with it all. The prospects for a music teacher were actually better than for an economist, though, so…
Anyway, now I am changing things I’ve wanted to change, doing things I’ve wanted to do. Not everything – I’m never going to grow to 5’7″, for instance – but there are a few things. Like photography. And participating in a good choir. And writing.
‘Never too late’ is a lie – gotta start early to be a good gymnast – but sometimes, it’s true.
